2nd Annual Stoneham Amateur Garden Contest

It’s that time again!
Having spent countless hours browsing through gardening books and seed catalogues this past winter and early spring, we are now motivated to dig in and start planting! You’ll be recognized for the efforts of your individual challenges and successes and could receive a Horticultural Award celebrating your achievements. But, most importantly, you’ll have so much fun! Stoneham’s amateur gardeners, adults and children, are encouraged to enter the 2nd Annual Stoneham Amateur Garden Contest. Contestants will be judged in the following categories: Best Use of Space, Best Flower Garden, Best Vegetable Garden, Best GREEN Garden, Best Patio Garden and Best Children’s Garden for contestants aged 6-12 years old.
Entry applications will be available June 15th and accepted through July 15th. Applications are available at Excelsior Realty Group at 61 Main Street in Stoneham or Citizens Bank at 259 Main Street, Stoneham or can be downloaded from our website www.excelsiorrealty.net. Judging will be held the 2nd week of August. Please take a moment to view the colorful photo album of last year’s gardens and the Celebration Picnic on Town Common. They are posted on our web site.
